Trofeu is a line of 1/43 scale die-cast models made by "Replicar", Portugal. Trofeu models are mainly rally cars. The first product was the Ford Sierra Cosworth 1987 RAC Rally which was released in March 1989. The first Saab 96 was launched in May 2000. Trofeu miniature cars are made by die-cast metal and mounted on the plastic chassis.

The green, red and white 96 were sold in the "Saab Model Car-Collection" through Saab-dealers and also in Troféu Boxes for Model-car-collectors.

The Standard 96 can't be allocated to an exact Model-year, because there are too many detail-faults. So I have tried to difference Model-year 1961/1962/1963 with the main details, the front-grill-emblem and the seats.

S1 - Nürnberg Toy Fair
An extremely rare model is the yellow 96, which was made for the International Toy Fair Nürnberg, Germany 2001. Only 100 numbered pieces should be made, but there are rumours that production stopped earlier. Does anybody know more about?
