Manufacturer-Info

Neo Scale Models is the own brand of "Replicars" Holland. They make high-quality model-cars for collectors. In 2007 they started with their first model, the Saab 95 in 1:43. Meanwhile they offer also Saab models in 1:18 and 1:87 size.

Model-Info

Limited edition 500 units. Neo Scale Models made two different castings of the 95 two-stroke, see Detail-Info, but both versions have several "faults", so they are all a mixture of 1961-1964 modelyear. This 2011 launched green 95 was the first "new" colour which was made only from the second casting (V2)!

Detail-Info

V1 - 2007:
rolling wheels -- bottom with lines, full detailed exhaust and marked "SAAB 95 SCALE 1:43 MADE IN CHINA" -- aircraft-logo from 1963 in photo-etched grill -- no logo on hatch -- wheels looking more like 'Minilite-wheels' -- plain hubcaps -- 'split' fuel-cap -- chrome-ring around the headlights -- much to large windshield -- rear-view mirror on dashboard -- large steering-wheel -- small front-seats -- small letters on number-plates.
V2 - 2010:
cast wheels -- plane bottom, small rear exhaust and white printed "1:43 SAAB 95 NEO SCALE MODELS Made in China" -- original old logo on bonnet (only the red 95) -- 1963 aircraft-logo on hatch -- wheels looking now like the original standard steel -- bigger hubcaps -- 'one-piece' fuel-cap -- bigger clear headlights -- smaller windshield -- no rear-view mirror inside -- smaller steering-wheel -- bigger front-seats -- 'fat' letters on number-plates.

There are more small differences in several other details. It seems that they made a total new casting.
