Well-known producer of simple plastic models partially derived from Anguplas moulds. At the end of the 1950s, “Blasco Industries” in Barcelona, Spain started a series of miniature vehicles under the EKO name. In total, there are about 200 reference numbers known from the catalogues, but the complete collection (H0 scale only, without counting the colour-variations) is actually almost twice as large. Because many of the models were never in catalogues, for instance because they were issued when the catalogues had already been printed, or because the models were special editions. Caused by the semi-artisan character of EKO, we can find models that do not seem original although they are, and vice versa. That is because some of the models have painted details or parts added. This semi-artisan character is also the reason for the fact that you can find two sets of models with the same reference-number but with different models, all depending on the availability of the models at the time.

The moulds of these little Saab 96 models were formerly used by “Anguplas”, Spain.
